The fifteenth (together with the sixteenth, the Lupa) of the patron saint festivals of the 17 Contrade di Siena is for the Pantera - che bello! The giro (procession through the city) will take place this Sunday, so listen out for the drums of the tamburini, and enjoy the fluttering of the dance of the alfieri’s flags. New members to the Contrada will be officially welcomed through the lay rite of baptism, and outdoor dinners will be had all week (you are welcome to attend!).
